When you call our office with a legal problem, you will be referred to RUBEN I. BARRERA, who can help you answer questions related to your legal problems.

How Much Will It Cost?

The cost for our services depends on the type of services you may be requiring. Before we begin work on your case we will discuss with you the types of legal remedies and alternatives available to you and the estimate fees and costs involved in pursuing them. We will provide you with a copy of your signed Fee Agreement, setting forth the anticipated fees and cost based on the expected course of legal events, the extend of the work we are authorized to do and the cost to you. For many situations, a flat fee is based on the complexity of the work involved is appropriate, meaning you pay one fee to cover the entire cost of that service. Some work is undertaken on an hourly bases, where the fees are based on the time actually spent on your file, which you will be billed monthly.

In some cases, groups and organizations offer Legal Plans and the Plan pays all or part of our fees and costs for their plan members. If you do not belong to such group, you will be responsible for all fees and costs. Payment as a retainer (an advance deposit of fees) will be required prior to any work done on your case and your Lawyer will tell you in advance when the balance will be due. As the work progresses, if there are unexpected developments or complications which necessitates a longer time to complete your work or great expenses that originally anticipated, we will inform you as soon as we recognize that fact.
