When you call our office with a legal problem, you will need to be referred to RUBEN I. BARRERA, who can help you answer questions related to your legal problems.

How Much Will It Cost?   

The cost of our help depends on the type of services you require.  Before we begin work on your case, we will discuss with you the types of legal remedies and alternatives available to you and estimate the fees and costs involved in pursuing them.  We will provide you with a copy of your signed Fee Agreement, setting forth the anticipated fees and cost based on the expected course of legal events, the extent of the work we are authorized to do and its cost to you.  For many matters, a flat fee based on the complexity of the work involved is appropriate, so you pay one fee to cover the entire cost of that service.  Some work is undertaken on an hourly basis, where the fees are based on the time actually spent on your file, in which case you will be billed monthly.

In some cases, groups and organizations pay all our part of our fees and costs for their members.  If you don't belong to such a group, you are responsible for all fees and costs.  Payment of a retainer (an advance deposit of fees) will be required before any work is done on your case and your Lawyer will tell you in advance when the balance will be due.  As the work progresses, if there are unexpected developments or complications which necessitate a longer time to complete your work or greater expenses than originally anticipated, we will inform you as soon as we recognize that fact.
